No one really doubted that Roosevelt would run for his fourth presidency again since he had been president for 3 terms already. His health was declining that some said that he might not stay long since he was unhealthy and had some serious sickness. The election was conducted during the World War II. Franklin D. Roosevelt won the nomination of the Democrat again. This time his opponent was from republican name was Thomas E. Dewey, a New York governor. He won his last reelection with the electoral vote of 432 to 99 and the popular vote of 53.4% to 45.9%. This election concluded Roosevelt as the longest president to be reelected in the America History and concluded his life as well.
